City Lodge Etosha

Friendly staff, do extra by warming take aways and supplying crockery and cutlery. Provide directions and tend to those who are in distress. Never seen anyone without a friendly demeanor.

We had the king suite and the room was huge and very clean. The shower had good water pressure in the mornings and the staff were very friendly. Despite a very long wait for the food it was amazingly delicious. Breakfast was also a good spread. Only 23kms from Etosha’s King Nehale gate - it is very good value for money and an air conditioned respite during midday.

Staff were really welcoming, breakfast was good with a variety of options. It was great to have safe carparking facilities as well as a cool pool to jump into after a full days driving inside Etosha.

A very good stopover for or base from where to explore the Etosha Pan Nature Reserve as it is close to the King Nehale Lya Mpingana Gate. Once again, staff was friendly and helpful. Pedi (hope my spelling is right) is a real star as was the barman. We asked for a room with two single beds even though we booked a double - two retired brothers traveling together - and we were upgraded as a room was available at no extra cost. It is things like this that makes for good customer service! The food was good and reasonable even though it took some time, but we were in no hurry and the barman went out of his way to get the TV working without us asking but just enquiring about the latest world news.

Normal accommodation but the cooking is quite good. The staff is well prepared but more than in other accommodations.
